Teacher Training
The next round of Teacher Training is tentatively scheduled for September 2008. We'll be posting details as they are available.
Why is 3 Om Yoga Teacher Training different?
Your experience at 3 OM Yoga is staged to be different for many reasons. At 3 OM Yoga
you will learn of various yoga lineages, what is key to those teaching styles and how
you can transform that knowledge into your own special interpretation, thus giving you
the tools to be unique, while upholding great traditions and teaching a most memorable
yoga class.
You will learn what it is to inspire students to love the practice of yoga. You will
learn how to inspire students to move beyond their limitations while deeply honoring
the pace and unfolding of their practice. You will learn the skill of noticing what
the students need from you to find success and satisfaction in their practice. You
will learn how to instruct an interesting and vibrant class that provokes and invites
the student to widen their perceptions and experience.
The staff of your teacher training program have studied and trained in: Ashtanga, Iyengar,
Bikram, Anusara and Svastha.

Thoughts from your Teacher Training Guides
Ketna Shah
"Yoga is a holistic system that goes beyond the basic stretches. The impact of Yoga is to
calm and center the mind and the body and to be able to unite you with your true essence.
Teaching Yoga therefore requires much more than just knowledge of the postures and in many
ways a very profound responsibility."
Cherie Tormey - "My primary goal with yoga is to inspire people
to celebrate life, to be guided by the desires of their heart and the guidance of spirit.
Sometimes I feel like all we can truly do is view our world with awe and gratitude. I question
what is truth, how can I serve spirit and what ideas I can take from my head into the
manifest. And laughter yes lots of laughter."
Introduction Day:
Students meet for orientation and community. Q and A session.
"Never wear high heels on a soggy lawn." - Practical advice from Dolly Parton
Om Training:
The first two weeks in many ways will be the most intense in terms of practice. Students will
need to schedule a time they can attend the studio once per day and accomplish practice goals
determined by the teacher. These intense individualized sessions will include asana, pranayama
and meditation.
After the first two weeks:
Students are encouraged to practice six days a week with a minimum of 4 practice days. Practice
time can be accomplished by taking a daily class on the schedule. After the first two weeks, any
off schedule practice times, if necessary, will be determined and offered after training begins.

Finally one very celebratory teacher training graduation party!
